Island Home Builders builds system built homes for the Florida Keys. Whether you’r a first time home buyer or looking to build your dream home, Island Home Builders has a home for you. We use system built homes that are built in a factory out of the weather. As the home is being built at the factory, we are completing your foundation and site preparation for your new home. Our goal is to set and dry in your home the day it arrives on site. Take a look around our site and you will see many of the homes that we have completed in the last few years. Stilt Construction

How we do it Island Home BuildersWe use poured concrete colums for the homes foundation. The modules are crane lifted into place and then anchored to the colums. All of the home we offer are built to a 150 mph rating. We typically can finish a new home within 90 days of the permit issue date. The factory construction takes place while we prepare the home site. On set day your new home is lifted into place and dried in from the outside elements. It takes about 45 days to finish the details of your new home from this point.

Our Pricing

We offer several levels of finish. Please give us a call to discuss the details of the involvement you would like IHB to have on your project. Our most recent homes built have ranged in the 150-175 per square foot range for the home complete, exclusive of land. Interior finish can have a great deal to do with your final price. Give us a call and we would be glad to meet anywhere in the Florida Keys.

All of our plans are appproved by the Department of Community Affairs for Florida. (DCA) All of the new homes bullt in Monroe County are built to minimum of 150 mph wind load. Additionlly we use high impact rated windows for all of our homes. We offer custom home plans as well, keep in mind you will add 45-90 days to get approvals for custom homes.
